Vagrant Heroes Demo v0.2.0


Update v0.2.0

Vagrant Heroes demo v0.2.0 is available right now! This update comes with mostly a bunch of work to the core systems of the game, preparing it for the content to come. Below is the change log reviewing what has changed since v0.1.0.

Main Features

  • Additional battle scenes have been added alongside some new areas and biomes.
  • The Evergreen has been added, the first dungeon area of the game alongside the first boss.
  • Movement speed of the player has been increased in the town and world area.
  • A save/load system has been added
  • A menu screen has been added, allowing the player to start a new game, load a save file, and alter the volume settings for sound/music.
  • Battle UI has been completely refreshed with a new style and flow.
  • Status effects have been added. Currently only sleep and poison are present
  • The town has several entrances/exit points requiring the player to pass through the town to access some areas.
  • The players can now level up (stat growth rate is temporary and will be adjusted again later)
  • Additional music and sound effects Additional enemies
  • Additional skills

Bug Fixes

  • The player should no longer get stuck in a battle loop.
  • Player skills, despite requiring MP to perform, can still be casted when not enough MP is available.
  • Some battle help text is cut off.
  • The Evergreen Boss will no longer exist when losing the battle until the game is reloaded.
