The Lone World is a game I created in two weeks (and polished up a few odds and ends in the following week). This game was to challenge myself to release something without falling into endless scope creep.

It's a short game but I hope you enjoy it!

Movement: WASD / Arrow Keys
Interact/Confirm: Z
Crouch: Down Arrow Key / S
Jump: Space
Double Jump: Space x2
Shoot: e

Join an explorer as she returns to The Archstation only to accidentally stumble
upon an uncharted planet. Crash landing on this unknown world, she ventures off to seek a new way home.

2/5, in my opinion.

-Music is great

-A bunch of great and fun platforming mechanics

-Combat doesn't feel that great, and enemy position makes it really hard sometimes to fight without taking a lot of damage

-Boss fight could have more impact, didn't drag too much but ended really abruptly

Generally, it's not a bad game, but still has a long way to go to be good. Lots of fun ideas that could use more exploration in a longer game, but on the other hand, the combat wouldn't be able to support a game longer than it is right now.

Thanks for the review. I agree with what you said, I struggled with burnout towards the end and it impacted the game's end the most. What I really wanted to do was bring in some metrodvania mechanics and expand the exploration, but I refused to allow myself to do it in order to stick with my initial scope.

Really good review anyway, so thanks!
